Television Studio and Audio Recording Studio

We have our own TV, film and voice-over recording studio in Oxford, located a few minutes drive from central Oxford.

Central Oxford Film Studio

Our TV studio is a short drive from Oxford (sixty minutes from London Paddington) and is ideal for filming business news, lectures, presentations, talking heads, interviews, showreels, product information and promotional videos.

The large 7m x 6.5m studio is sound proofed and pre-lit with cool fluorescent video lighting. A Fully integrated ‘infinity cove’ provides three-dimensional green-screen space, and we offer a choice of white, black and textured back-drops if required. We can also build appropriate sets and staging as required.

We are able to record with single or multiple camera set-ups as well as directing shoots and recording 4K vision mixes from our control room. These mixes can then be broadcast live using our superfast fibre broadband to anywhere in the world with an internet connection. As everything is already set up and bookable by the hour, you can drop in and film whenever is convenient for you. A professional Auto-cue system is always in the studio which means you don’t have to memorise your script in advance! Our client and artists’ facilities include catering, refreshments plus private changing and make-up areas. We even provide the Jelly Beans.

Audio Recording, Dubbing and Music Recording Studio

We also have a dedicated audio-recording area where we record voice-overs, radio drama, audio CDs, music and audio books. We use Logic and ProTools running our Neumann and AKG microphones through high-end Avalon mic pre-amps into Apogee D/As. We can record voiceover direct to picture and using Source Connect and Skype, clients can join a recording session in real time without having to be physically present. Clients who have taken advantage of this include the BBC, CNN, numerous production companies and major audio book publishers such as Penguin / Random House.

There is a large and comfortable green room next to the studio where clients can sit in on sessions or be present at the mixing and dubbing stages.

The client area also contains our music workstation where we compose, record and produce music and sound effects for our productions. We have a large rosta of voice-over artists, presenters and actors who regularly contribute to both our own and client projects.

Dry Hire

The green screen studio is also available for dry-hire and is used on shoots by the BBC and numerous production companies. It can also be hired out for stills photography as well as for media training, product and website testing. Click here for more information.
